My Story

I decided to become a childminder in 2005 when I found myself with two young children, working but unable to afford childcare. After I made the decision to train as a childcare provider, I promised myself that I would be the best childminder I could possibly be for all the women that make the decision to return to work. Leaving your child in someone else’s care can be difficult and I never underestimate the trust parents put in me.  I absolutely love what I do and put so much of my heart into caring for children. The children telling their parents how much they have enjoyed their day with me is the best reward ever. I was graded 'Outstanding' by Ofsted in 2015.

Having lived and worked in France for many years, I am bilingual. I speak French and teach it to the children I care for. Learning a second language can open up a child's learning potential for the future.

I have and NVQ Level 3 in Childcare, training in First Aid, Food and Hygiene and Safeguarding Children. I attend regular refresher courses and additional new training modules for Early Years children.

I am a member of the Maidenhead and Windsor Childminding Group and attend activities organised for the children, such as a special day with farm animals. I have also organised events, including an African day and French activies.

I have full insurance with Morton Michel Childcare Insurance.

Prior to becoming a childminder, I was Head Waitress at the Michelin 3 starred Waterside Inn in Bray. I have an excellent knowledge of food and I promote healthy eating.

What is a child minder? Here is a poem which I think describes my role in your child's life.
